The Maddilapalem depot of APSRTC is running three two-star services on route No. 222 between RTC Complex and Tagarapuvalasa from Monday which are meant only for the passengers not having any kind of bus passes. The two-star services will be operated from Maddilapalem depot.
The services have been introduced in addition to the 20 existing services on route No. 222 in response to the demand from the passengers that senior citizens, children and rural passengers were not able to get into the 222 route buses as they were occupied by passengers having different types of bus passes. This made them to travel by private transport which was not safe, the passengers said.
The two-star services will have 40 minutes of journey time with four main stages and other pick-up points en route. Fare is Rs.12.
