KOCHI: Lepakshi is back in Kochi. The heritage exhibition of Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation is on at Gangothri Hall on Rajaji Road. The show will continue till November 14. An extensive collection of traditional handicrafts and textiles from different parts of Andhra Pradesh are on display at the show which was inaugurated by Kochi Mayor Mercy Williams. A special discount of ten per cent on handicrafts and twenty per cent on textiles is being given. The show is open on all days from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., said T. Venkataramanappa, manager of Lepakshi Handicrafts emporium at Kurnool. Famed Hyderabad pearls, leather items, black metal, pottery items, wooden toys, intricate wooden carvings and jute items are displayed. Cotton and silk sarees from Madanappalle, Mangalagiri, Kalamkari, Chirala, Venkatagiri, Pochampilly are there for the cognoscenti. Dress materials and furnishings are also aplenty.
