Smart City is only about to get its foundation stone next week. But it seems the small-time food kiosks and restaurants at Kakkanad have already started cashing in on the project. For, many of them have raised the price of items as IT professionals would flock there. It is the poor daily labourers, unaware of a forthcoming IT city, who are feeling the heat.
