Staff Reporter
Bangalore: The fifth edition of the Jack Kilby Science and Technology quiz, organised by Texas Instruments India Pvt. Ltd., will be held in Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi this year.
Over 1,500 teams from across the country participated in the quiz last year, making it one of the largest science and technology quizzes for high school students.
The quiz is aimed at instilling a spirit of inquiry among students, according to Sylvia Subbaiah, leader, Texas Instruments India Foundation (TIIF).
Participants can win robotic kits, telescopes, binoculars, microscopes, high-end T1 calculators, certificates, book coupons, trophies and other prizes at the regional round.
Winners of the national round will get prizes worth Rs. 1 lakh.
The regional round and finals will be held in Bangalore on November 11 at St. John’s Auditorium, Koramangala. Online registration for the Bangalore regional round closes on November 9. Participants must come to the quiz in their school uniforms. To register online, log on to www.tiif.org.
Students may email their queries regarding the quiz to tijkquiz-query@list.ti.com or they can call 9740211944.
