Training for MPDOs

Srikakulam: District Collector G. Kishan on Tuesday instructed Mandal Parishad Development Officers to be ready to launch works estimated at Rs.4 crores in each mandal.

Speaking at a training programme for implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme for MPDOs and Additional Programme Managers at the Agricultural Training Institute here, Mr. Kishan directed officials to speed up issuance of job cards and opening of accounts in post offices and other aspects for implementation of NREGS.

Mr. Kishan said that no payments should be made from NREGS for houses constructed under the Relief and Rehabilitation package of the Vamsadhara project.
