‘Christotsava’ to begin tomorrow
Special Correspondent
Bangalore: The Catholic community of Karnataka will hold a three-day event called “Christotsava — the celebration of Christ” here from Thursday.
Archbishop Bernard Moras said at a press conference here on Tuesday that the programme was being organised by the Karnataka Region Catholic Bishops’ Council to “make the message of Jesus relevant to everyone as a lived and shared experience.” The work of charity done through hospitals, centres for cancer, leprosy and HIV/AIDs are all expressions of Christian faith, he said.About 1,200 people are expected to participate in the event from 11 dioceses in Karnataka, besides guests from other religious faiths.
The event will be inaugurated Archbishop Oswald Gracias from Mumbai at 9 a.m. on Thursday at Good Shepherd Convent Auditorium, Museum Road.
