MLA’s appeal to Deputy Commissioner

BIDAR: Basavakalyan MLA Mallikarjun Khooba has appealed to Deputy Commissioner Harsh Gupta to give a month’s time for businessmen in the taluk to remove their goods before the encroachment clearance drive.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Mr. Khooba said that he welcomed developmental works in the taluk and at the same time felt that businessmen should be given adequate time to remove their goods.

He said he had drawn the attention of the Deputy Commissioner on routine works which were getting delayedand the alleged corruption among officials.

To a question, Mr. Khooba said that he was not a part of a team led by the former Minister M.P. Prakash that visited New Delhi to seek the support of the Congress to form a Government in the State.
