In a review meeting of the scheme held with special officers here on Monday evening, District Collector N. Sridhar directed the officials to ground the houses sanctioned under the second phase of the scheme in all villages immediately and complete them by March-end next. He asked the officials to motivate the beneficiaries of the first phase of the scheme and complete the houses sanctioned then as early as possible. The second phase houses were already grounded in Vidapanakal, Garladinne, Tanakallu and a few other mandals, he noted and said 20 more officials would be engaged pure in giving marking for houses to speed up grounding. The Collector also directed the officials to keep all necessary material like cement, sand and rafters ready for supply locally. He also directed the officials to pay Rs. 6,600 to the beneficiaries through online transfer of funds or through the ‘grama aikya sanghams’ once the work was completed till basement level.
