Mukundan calls for peace
Special Correspondent
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP leader P.P. Mukundan said here on Tuesday that the CPI (M), the BJP, and social organisations should take the lead in ending the murders and clashes in Kannur district involving the CPI (M), BJP and Sangh Parivar organisations.
He said that the violence had started with the killing of Vadickal Ramakrishnan in 1967. In 40 years, nearly 200 peple have been killed. Many more have been maimed. The violence might spread to the entire district. Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan and senior leaders should prevent that.
