India-Canada to work out MoU on agriculture

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Agriculture and the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural initiatives, Province of Manitoba, Canada on Tuesday held discussions on a proposed Memorandum of Understanding on agriculture.
In this connection, Manitoba Deputy Minister Barry Todd, along with a delegation called on Minister of State for Agriculture Kantilal Bhuria to finalise the MOU.
On the occasion, Mr. Bhuria said India was deeply interested in promoting bilateral relations with Canada.
The Ministry has identified Knowledge Exchange in Agriculture, Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary issues and post Harvest technologies and grain handling as potential areas for fruitful cooperation.
