Schumacher to test for Ferrari

ROME: Retired Formula One great Michael Schumacher will return to the track to test drive for Ferrari next week.

The seven-time F1 champion, who retired after the 2006 season, will get behind the wheel of Ferrari’s 2007 car at Barcelona, Spain, on November 13 and 14, team spokesman Luca Colajanni said Tuesday.

“Michael expressed a desire to do it and we have always said we would be open to the possibility whenever he wished,” Colajanni said, adding that for now it’s only a one-time deal. ‘

‘There is no plan” for more tests, Colajanni said. — AP
