Double for Ajay and Siddarth

BANGALORE: Ajay Patil ended the season on a high note with a creditable double in the Wearhouse State-ranking badminton championship at the Sadhashivnagar Club courts here on Tuesday. Ajay, who had earlier won the boys under-16 doubles title with L.U. Chirag on Monday, defeated his doubles partner in the under-16 singles final at 21-9, 21-11.

In the under-13 section, S. Siddarth too bagged a double in similar fashion. Siddartha after claiming the doubles title with Shiv Nayak, later defeated his doubles partner in the singles final at 21-18, 12-21, 21-18.

In the seniors section, Nischitha and Ankita Ashoka made the semifinals of the women’s singles with easy wins.
