Arun Deva stars for Gowtham MS

HYDERABAD: Double century by southpaw Arun Deva (210 not out, 28x4, 1x6) helped Gowtham Model School record a thumping 285-run win over Good Shepherd School in the Air Tel Cup inter-school (under-13) cricket tournament here on Tuesday.

Nandu Vishnu 40, Arun Deva 210 not out, Maneesh 40, Rakesh three for 59) bt Good Shepherd School 100 (Yashwanth six for 16); Patmos 324 (Prashant 112) bt Alphonso 147; Bhega’s HS 154 (M. Ravi Kiran 41, Arjun five for 34, Neeraj three for 27) bt St. Peter’s HS 107 (Praveen 31, S. Prem Moses seven for 24).

Boost Cup (U-17): Bhavan’s ‘A’ 118 (Srikanth 39, Rahul Ranout four for 13, Varun four for 28) lost to St. Mary’s College, Sec’bad, 121 for one (V. Vamshi Ram 53 n.o., Rahul Ranout 50 n.o.); St. Andrew’s HS 235 (Mohammed Ali 98) bt Jubilee Hills Jr. College 97 (Adarsh four for 27).

A-Division (two-day match): Gujarati 244 (Abhishek 45, Pradipak 73, Y.R. Dilip Kumar 33, Abdul Aziz seven for 103) bt Ours CC 100 (Dhruv Parikh five for 51) & 132 (Anil 56, Dhruv Parikh five for 48, Y.R. Dilip Kumar three for 37).
