Protest against move to hike power tariff

KOCHI: The Standing Council of Trade Unions will hold a dharna at Kalamasserry on November 13 against the move to hike power tariff. It will urge the Electricity Regulatory Commission to reject the recommendation of the Kerala State Electricity Board to increase power tariff.

The council, in a statement, said the move to hike the tariff would adversely affect public sector units such as FACT, HOC, HNL, KMML, TCC, and private sector units besides industrial units in the small-scale sector.
