Man shot dead by Maoists

Simdega: A man was killed and another seriously injured in an attack by Maoists, who also set ablaze five houses at Karbera in Simdega district of Jharkhand on Wednesday.

A group of Maoists fired at the two. While one of them died on the spot, another was taken to hospital with bullet injury and his condition stated to be critical, police sources said. The Maoists later poured inflammable substance on five houses and set them afire.
