55 prisoners break hunger strike

Jehanabad: Fifty-five out of 61 inmates, who went on an indefinite hunger strike on Saturday last demanding recall of a fellow inmate from Bhagalpur Central Jail to the sub-jail here, ended their stir late on Tuesday night. Official sources on Wednesday said that four hunger-strikers were shifted to the Patna Medical College and Hospital on November five after their condition deteriorated, jail superintendent Deepak Ganguly said.
