Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A visa consultant has been arrested by the Delhi police on charges of helping 32 people apply for US visas here posing as members of a musical troupe. The other accused were arrested in October. Sanjay Kaushik was arrested in Janakpuri here on Monday. Investigations revealed that he was paid Rs. 50,000 per candidate by a US-based Indian national, Farooq Mehmood Chaudhury, for helping them obtain visas.

However, US Embassy officials found that the applicants had submitted forged documents.
