Kakinada: The Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal has cleared the promotions of those working as PAs to Executive Officers in 21 major temples in the State, according to S. Kondala Rao, Regional Joint Commissioner of Endowments. He said here on Wednesday that the full Bench of the tribunal comprising Y.V. Ramakrishna, Vice-Chairman, Koka Satyanarayana, Member Judicial, and N.K. Narasimha Rao, Member Administration, while disposing of a petition on November 5, held that the rules framed under the relevant section were not contrary to the provisions of the Presidential Order and that the post of PA to Executive Officer was equivalent to the post of Assistant Commissioner.
They also held that there was no impediment for appointment of PA to Executive Officer as Assistant Commissioner as per the provisions of the Act 30/87 and the rules framed there under with the local area where they were working as PA to Executive Officer by transfer of service.
