Panel seeks fair deal to Muslims

BHUBANESWAR: The newly-formed All-Orissa Muslim Welfare Committee has put forth a number of demands before the government urging earliest action.

The committee is demanding setting up of a Minority Commission for the State. It has also sought separation of the finance development department for the minorities from the SC and ST Finance Development Corporation to ensure better welfare measures for the Muslims and other minorities. It has further proposed formation of a Haj Committee.
