‘Devaprasnam’ at Guruvayur temple concludes

Staff Reporter

Guruvayur: The ‘Ashtamangalya Devaprasnam,’ an astrological ritual performed at the Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple, to ascertain the divine interpretation about matters related to the temple and faith, concluded on Wednesday.

The ritual began on October 31.

Irinjalakuda Padmanabha Sarma, head of the team of astrologers who performed the ritual, handed over the ‘Prasna Charthu’ to Guruvayur Devaswom administrator V. Ratheesan and temple Ooralan Mallissery Parameswaran Namboodiripad.

Mr. Sarma said the astrologers had asked the Devaswom to perform a few special pujas in the temple in the light of the revelations in the Devaprasnam.

“Changes in rituals should be natural and spontaneous. Forced change can create problems,” he added.
