Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a reduction in tariff for calls originating from BSNL Landline and WLL for a period of 60 days from November 8 in connection with the Deepavali festival. For calls within the circle to any BSNL phone including mobile, the tariff is reduced to two-thirds of the existing rate during peak hours (7 am to 11 pm, 90 second pulse) and to half-the rate during off-peak hours (11 pm to 7 am, 120 second pulse). For international calls to Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Yemen, there is a 20 per cent reduction in tariff (7.5 second pulse) and for calls to the USA and Canada the reduction is 16.67 per cent (12 second pulse) during the above period. This is not applicable for PCOs. — Special Correspondent
