Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Ramesh Chennithala has come down heavily on the BJP-CPI (M) brand of political violence and alleged that the two parties have once again embarked on a bizarre trail of political murders reminiscent of the 1980s. Addressing a function in memory of the former Chief Minister R. Sankar under the auspices of the Sankar Foundation of Kerala here on Wednesday, Mr. Chennithala wanted the State government to take action against the politics of murder and violence indulged in by the CPI (M) and the BJP, who, according to him, were two sides of the same coin. He said the CPI (M) was bent on suppressing political dissent with the help of the police. He asked the BJP and the CPI (M) to end their game of playing with arms.
