JAIPUR: An integrated project for supply of water to the upcoming textile park in Chittorgarh district and industries in the textile town of Bhilwara will be implemented on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis with the twin objective of transmission of water to industrial customers and setting up of a common effluent treatment plant.
Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Ltd. (RIICO) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of agreement with Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) to form a special purpose vehicle company (SPV) to establish the project.
The agreement was signed by RIICO Managing Director Kuldeep Ranka, and IL&FS Urban Infrastructure Managers Limited CEO L. Krishnan. The SPV will cater to the industrial requirements of the textile park being developed by RIICO at Soniyana village and also to the existing industries in Bhilwara. “The project will help the textile sector to grow in an eco-friendly way,” said Rajasthan Industries Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi on the occasion.
