Yuvraj’s six sixes photos adorn PCA’s longroom

Mohali: The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has put up some memorable portraits in the longroom area relating to the Indian team’s achievements over the years, which includes six hits over the fence by Yuvraj Singh.

Taking mediapersons around the longroom, PCA’s chief curator Daljit Singh pointed towards a big photo frame, which shows the six sixes hit by Yuvraj off Stuart Broad in a ICC World Twenty20 match.

Virender Sehwag’s knock of 319 in a Test against Pakistan is also captured in a photo, where the batsman is seen raising his bat and looking skywards after reaching 300.

The photo of Anil Kumble’s 500 wickets in Tests has also been kept in the longroom, while numerous photos of Sachin Tendulkar’s various feats also can be seen.

Photographs of India’s famous victory in the 1983 World Cup and many from the era between 1950 and 1980 also adorn the walls of the room.

Adjoining dressing rooms have been named after Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev. — PTI
