HYDERABAD: EME Centre scored a solitary-goal win over State Bank of India to qualify for the super league of the SAAP Premier League prize money football tournament at Gymkhana Grounds here on Wednesday. The match-winner came in the 20th minute of first-half when N. Prajit latched onto a fine lob from Pradeep to find the target. In another match, Hyderabad Globe also recorded a 1-0 win over AOC Centre with Alamdar Raza netting the match-winner of a 35-yard kick in the 38th minute. The six teams which qualified for the super league commencing from November 9 are: South Central Railway, State Bank of Hyderabad, SAI (STC, Kurnool), Hyderabad Globe, AG Andhra Pradesh and EME Centre. In the boys’ category, St. Andrews ‘B’ finished second with 20 points after it’s ‘A’ team clinched the honours with 21.5 points.
