High Court asks promoters to formulate scheme of settlement
DSP (EOW-II) scrutinising depositors’ documents to ascertain liability
CHENNAI: The Economic Offences Wing-II of the police has registered four cases against Maruti Finance, Madras Periamet Benefit Fund and Sakthi Maruti Finance, which were functioning on 58, Modex Street in Vepery and 90, Choolai High Road, and launched criminal proceedings against the companies/directors.
According to a press release, the companies collected several crore of rupees as deposits from the public and subsequently defaulted in making the repayment. The promoters of these companies have been directed by the Madras High Court to formulate a scheme of settlement to the depositors.
DSP (EOW-II) D. SomaSundaram is scrutinising the depositors’ documents to ascertain the exact liability and the number of depositors.
