Yeddyurappa performed a “homa” at Srirangapatna, near here, on Friday morning. Accompanied by his family members, Mr. Yeddyurappa, who arrived at Srirangapatna around 4 a.m. from Bangalore, drove to the “yaga shala” of priest and astrologer Bhanuprakash near Vyasaraja Math. According to information reaching here, the former Deputy Chief Minister performed rituals such as “Suryanarayana Yaga,” “Sudharshana Yaga,” “Navagraha Homa” and “Thraipurambike Homa,” which were co-ordinated by Bhanuprakash with the assistance of six other priests. Mr. Yeddyurappa and his family members went to Gosai Ghat to take a holy dip in river Cauvery after a couple of rituals. They reassembled at the yaga shala and took part in the remaining rituals. Mr. Yeddyurappa later visited Lord Ranganathaswamy temple and offered puja.
