WARANGAL: Over 300 passengers were forced to travel without tickets by the Vijayawada-Nagpur passenger train on Wednesday night allegedly due to negligence on the part of Railway personnel at Kazipet junction. A booking clerk, Sashi Kalavathi performed her duties till 8 p.m. at Kazipet town railway station and deposited cash at Kazipet junction. Before going home she told the officials that her reliever had not turned up. At about 10.45 p.m., when it was the time for the passenger train, there was no booking clerk. The passengers protested for a while. The personnel said despite bringing it to the notice of the Chief Commercial Inspector, he did not make arrangements.
