Boy crushed between buses dies

NEW DELHI: The 12-year-old boy who was crushed between a Blueline bus and a DTC bus at Pandav Nagar here on Wednesday has succumbed to his injuries. The bus driver has been arrested.

Mohit, son of Bishan Singh, was a Class VI student of a government school at Kondli. The tragic accident took place around 5 p.m. when the Blueline bus plying on route 479 overtook the stationary Mudrika DTC bus. Mohit, who was hanging from the footboard of the private bus, was caught between the two vehicles. He sustained serious injuries in the legs and was admitted to GTB Hospital.

Mohit’s condition deteriorated and he succumbed to his injuries late on Wednesday night. The police have arrested the Blueline bus driver, Ajay Pal, who had vanished from the spot leaving the vehicle behind.
