Bad day for Randhawa and Ghei

SHANGHAI: After a sedate opening round, all Jyoti Randhawa needed was yet another solid show to hang around for a top finish but the Indian stuttered to two-over 74 to slide to tied 31st after the halfway stage at the $ five million HSBC Champions here on Friday.

Compatriot Gaurav Ghei did worse and his second round card of three-over 75 pushed him down to tied 37th.

American Kevin Stadler, a four-time winner on Nationwide Tour, fired a three-under 69 to grab a one stroke lead over star American Phil Mickelson at 11-under 133.— PTI
