JSS urges Minister to take stringent action against the corrupt saying that the department has made life miserable. KOLLAM: State president of Janadhipathya Samrakshana Samiti (S) Kaikara Babu has alleged that the Public Works Department is in the grip of a ‘corrupt caucus.’ At a press conference here on Saturday, he wanted Minister for Public Works Mons Joseph to take stringent action against the caucus. The present plight of the department has made life miserable for the public. To save the State from communal elements, there should be better coordination between the Dalits, minorities and backward communities. The Government should take a serious note of attempts being made by some to unleash communal tension and cash in on it, Mr. Babu said. He added that the Centre was ignoring the State in all respects. This, despite the fact that there are three representatives from Kerala in the Union Cabinet. The JSS(S) will organise a month long campaign against communalism and imperialism from December 1. The State camp of the party will be held at Thiruvananthapuram in March.
