Two shops burnt

ADILABAD: A cloth and a kirana shop were burnt in two separate fire accidents that broke out in the wee hours on Saturday, resulting in losses estimated to be in lakhs.

The fires apparently broke out due to electric short circuit but the actual reasons can be established only after an inquiry, according to the police. The cloth shop is located on Cinema Road while the grocery shop is situated at Shivaji Chowk. Adilabad MLA C. Ramchander Reddy and Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar visited the shops on Saturday.
