Lecture on securities market

PUDUCHERRY: A special lecture on ‘Developments in Indian securities market’ was organised by the School of Management of Pondicherry University on Saturday.

Ravi Narain, Managing Director and CEO, National Stock Exchange (NSE), Mumbai, spoke on the fundamentals of stock markets, the formation of NSC and about how the internet facilitated online trading. Director of Studies, S. Kuppuswami, said that a system should be devised by which the stock exchange cannot be influenced by political changes, natural calamities and terrorism.
