Council chief to drop proceedings against photo-journalists

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Legislative Council Chairman A. Chakrapani said here on Saturday that he would drop further proceedings against television cameramen and press photographers who entered the House after it adjourned in the wake of heated exchanges between members on November 7. At a meeting of the Media Advisory Committee of the A. P. Legislature on Saturday, the Chairman, on the advice of Minister for Information Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, said he would leave the issue with a note of caution to these media personnel. The meeting decided that a media point would be erected for the facility of TV channels opposite the main gate and that the lawns of Jubilee Hall would be demarcated as inner and outer lobby. The media will not be permitted to enter the inner lobby.
