HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy underwent a minor eye surgery for retinal correction at a private clinic in Begumpet here on Saturday evening.
Advised rest
The retinal correction surgery, which was performed by Dr. Kasu Prasad Reddy, lasted for about five minutes after which doctors advised him rest till Sunday morning before resuming normal work. A few days ago, the Chief Minister had expressed difficulty in clearly identifying letters and numbers at powerpoint presentations and visited the clinic for diagnosis. The ‘Lasik’ surgery will obviate the need for use of glasses, said a CMO official.
