Buddhadeb won’t comment on boycott

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee declined to comment on eminent filmmaker and actress Aparna Sen’s boycott of the 13th Kolkata Film Festival over the Nandigram issue, saying he did not have any information in that regard.

“I knew you would ask me this question. I have no information on who is boycotting,” the Chief Minister told newsmen on Saturday after the inauguration of the State-sponsored film festival.

When told that a number of intellectuals were boycotting the festival, he said, “You can keep that list at home.” — PTI
