Tourists intercepted

MADURAI: A few tourists who had hired a country boat to visit a church on an island off the Mandapam coast near Rameswaram were intercepted by coastal security officials on Saturday. They were let off with a warning not to venture into the sea without obtaining permission from the competent authority, police sources said.
