A treat for adventure seekers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It promises a bonanza for adventure seekers. The Nehru Yuva Kendra, Thiruvananthapuram is organising an inter-State adventure trekking camp here from November 22 to 28 to promote adventure sports for health and happiness.

The camp is being organised in association with the Academy for Mountaineering and Adventure Sports. It will be open for participants in the age group 15 to 35.

Participants in the camp will be exposed to a variety of programmes including trekking, camp fire, observation of nature, star gazing, shooting, archery, adventure sports and survival skills like cooking without vessels, jungle living. They will also receive basic training in yoga and meditation.

Participation in the camp will be free of cost and on a first-come-first-served basis. The first 50 applicants will be selected.
