KOCHI: I. Vasudevan, 61, former news editor of Deshabhimani, passed away at a private nursing home in the city on Saturday. He had entered journalism in the late Sixties by sending reports for Deshabhimani daily. He was then a chemist with a private company in Madras. In 1984, he entered regular service as sub-editor in the news paper and retired as the senior news editor from the Thrissur unit in June last year. He worked with the All-Indian Kisan Sabha in New Delhi on retirement. The last rites were performed on Sunday at his ancestral home at Chalavara in Palakkad district.
