Minister lauds ECIL’s contribution

HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development D. Purandareswari, who visited the Electronics Coroporation of India Ltd (ECIL) on Saturday evening appreciated the progress achieved by it in various e-governance projects. She said the Government was particular that the advantages of new technologies should reach rural areas and improve the quality of life there.

K.S. Rajasekhara Rao, ECIL Chairman and Managing Director, while welcoming the Minister stated that the corporation was committed to provide e-governance solutions for the benefit of rural masses.

The solutions would bring about a sea change in agriculture, health, education, computerised ration cards and digital recording of land records, he said, according to a press release.
