Shimla: Lalu Prasad’s RJD received a jolt in poll bound Himachal Pradesh as all its office bearers resigned to join its arch foe Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (LJP). In the State executive meeting of the RJD on Saturday at Dharamsala all the office bearers decided to resign from the party and join the LJP, Himachal RJD president Deepak Sharma said on Sunday. Mr. Sharma charged the RJD national president Lalu Prasad with “neglecting” the HP unit. “Several requests by the State unit to Mr. Prasad to give time to the HP unit and start some railway projects in the hill State have fallen on deaf ear, leaving us with no choice but to quit the RJD,” Mr. Sharma added. Mr. Sharma showered praise on LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan for boosting the party unit in the hill State. LJP which has an MLA from Nahan presently has fielded candidate at Kinnaur assembly seat. It is planning to field more candidates in the poll. -- PTI
