Dehra Dun: Portals of Kedarnath temple, situated in Rudraprayag district in Garhwal Himalayas, were closed on Sunday for winter period. The closing ceremony took place amid chanting of vedic hymns and shlokas with the idols of Lord Shiva being shifted to Ukhimath for a winter sojourn. During the next six months, people can have darshan of the idol at Ukhimath. On Saturday, the portals of Gangotri temple, were closed and the portals of Badrinath will be closed shortly.
