Farmer ends life

GULBARGA: Rayagundappa Jattappa Kollur (26), a farmer, reportedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide at Hagaragundigi village in Gulbarga Taluk on Saturday night. According to the reports reaching the police headquarters, the victim consumed the pesticide in his field on November 6. He died at the Basaveshwar Teaching and General Hospital in Gulbarga. According to reports, Kollur, who had taken up sowing of red gram in his eight-acre land this year, suffered heavy loss owing to crop loss due to the heavy rain and pest attack. The police have registered a case. — Special Correspondent
