HASSAN: Former Rajya Sabha member H.K. Javare Gowda, a close associate of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, said here on Saturday that the new coalition Government should make best use of the opportunity provided to it and must work for the welfare of the people. If they fail to do so, the people would not excuse them and would teach them a lesson. WarningThe events of the last one month should serve as a warning bell to the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Janata Dal (Secular), he said. Addressing press persons, Mr. Javare Gowda said one had to work with “atma sakshi” (self conscience). Society will not excuse their mistakes. Though ruling party partners have different ideologies, they have to forego their differences and work for the overall development of the State, he said. He hoped that both the parties realised their past mistakes and were aware of the problems that were created during the transfer of power. Stalled worksMr. Javare Gowda said development works had been stalled in the State for the last one month and that they should be completed within the next 19 months. Now the people will observe the elected representatives and those who work would earn their respect. He felt that Mr. H.D. Revanna should join the cabinet for speedy implementation of development works not only in Hassan district but also in the entire State.
