Rourkela: Orissa chapter of Association of Physicians of India (API) has asked the State Government to provide better working facilities to doctors posted in remote areas to enable them to serve the poor and downtrodden. Doctors now a days do not prefer to work in remote areas not because they dislike it but due to lack of proper facilities and professional satisfaction, chairman of the API Orissa chapter P.K. Das said while presiding over the 27th Orissa State branch conference here last night. API State branch has taken initiative to hold seminars and workshops to educate and provide latest information to the doctors serving in the remote areas of the State, he said. Organising secretary, R.K. Dalai also spoke. — PTI
