Tributes paid to Abul Kalam Azad

Chitradurga: The minority wing of the district Congress unit celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. At a programme organised at the party office here on Sunday, floral tributes were paid to the late leader. Addressing the gathering, Congress district unit vice-president Mohammad Sadikullah said that while holding the post of Education Minister Mr. Azad had framed outstanding policies.

Several programmes will be held in the coming days and books on him will be released.
