Three held on betting charge

Three Town police on Sunday arrested three persons for allegedly organising betting on the India-Pakistan One-Day International at a guesthouse at MVP Colony.

According to Circle Inspector A. Narsimha Murthy, the accused persons – Ch. Srinivas, Nageswara Rao and Ramana Murthy – were arrested and Rs.4,900 and six cell phones seized from them. Bets were accepted from all over north Andhra, the inspector said.
