Comprehensive final draft electoral rolls to be published tomorrow

Coimbatore: The Revenue Divisional Officer, M.A. Subramanian, has announced that applications for inclusion of names, corrections and deletions in electoral rolls would be entertained from November 13 to November 28.

In a release, for the purpose of enabling revision of photo electoral rolls with January 1, 2008 as the qualifying date, comprehensive final draft electoral rolls would be published on November 13. Electors wanting to get their names included in the rolls, those wanting to get names deleted, seeking incorporation of corrections in respect of details could file separate application forms from November 13 to 28. Special camps would be conducted on November 17 and 25. The applications would be taken up for perusal on December 13. Supplementary rolls would be prepared on January 2, 2008 and final rolls would be published on January 11, 2008.

Those attaining the age of 18 as on January 1, 2008 for inclusion of their names should file their claims in form number six, those seeking corrections in respect of details such as name, age and other details would have to file form number 8 those seeking change of address within the same Assembly segment would have to file form number 8A along with 001A form besides enclosing passport size photograph and relevant documentary proofs.

Electors having their names on rolls but not their photographs could submit their passport size photographs. On the reverse of the photograph using a ballpoint pen they should write the Assembly constituency number, part number, serial number and name.
