Udupi: Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math said on Sunday that people should protect and promote Yakshagana. He was speaking after presenting the “Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Prashasti” to the founder of “Bharati Kalasadana”, Keshavananda Bharati Swamiji of Edneer Math, here. Sri Vishwesha Tirtha said that Yakshagana reflected the cultural ethos of coastal districts. It was the pride of the region. The kalaranga was rendering yeoman service by providing insurance cover to the artistes.
