Hoodwinking the public

If the Kerala State Electricity Board notices the street lights that do not work they will find no time to raise allegations against the Corporation which supplies electrical and allied materials.

One cannot find fault with the common people if they believe that the allegations and counter allegations are simply to hoodwink them.

The Corporation must release quality tubes, bulbs and other accessories to avoid disruption of lighting. The KSEB must check and set right problems at the earliest.

If the rules and regulations regarding tender have to be amended for supply of quality materials the Corporation must move the government without delay.

Helipad solution

When VVIPs arrive in the state capital, traffic restrictions are imposed on the city roads to ensure their unhindered movement from the airport to Raj Bhawan. Such restrictions create traffic bottlenecks on important city roads and causes untold suffering for the travelling public at such times.

In order to over come this, the authorities must construct a helipad within the Raj Bhawan complex which will enable the visiting VVIPs to have uninterrupted movement from the airport to Raj Bhawan and save the public from hardships on this score.

Platform ticket

The platform ticket vending machines installed at the main entrance and the one at the ticket counter near the railway main care centre of the Thiruvananthapuram central railway station are not functioning.

Due to this people have to wait in long queues to get platform tickets. Authorities concerned should take steps to repair them to avoid hardships.
